last shop update in April.

Yesterday the last Sunday evening shop update in April went up!  Did you guys enjoy the Sunday shop updates - easier to shop on the weekends, or prefer something to look forward to during the work week?

This week's shop update featured a little bit of everything as I restocked a few categories that were getting a little bare.  There were more bird mini tea cards, but also some butterflies this time.  You'll find some more vintage game piece collections, and ephemera collections are a major favorite so I added a few more of those as well.  Happy Shopping!

April Paper Parcel reveal.

April's Paper Parcel was all about what makes Spring such a pretty time of the year - plenty of flowers and birds, and lots and lots of color.

When I'm asked where I find all of my papers, I always mention how lucky I am to have family that appreciates vintage and keeps an eye out for ephemera for me when browsing flea markets and estate sales.  These bird flashcards from the National Audubon Society were found by my brother at a flea market and I tucked them away with this month in mind.

Each Paper Pack came with a mini collection of bird and flower gummed labels from Dennison.  The color and detail in these small labels is incredible.

The highlight of this month may have been this duo of vintage flower seed packets with gorgeous graphics from the 1920's / 1930's.  Earlier this month I shared several different ways to incorporate vintage seed packets into your artwork, decor, and mail.

I always love round playing cards, but there is something really special about the colors in these.  I'm smitten and definitely kept a few for myself!

Each Paper Pack also came with a selection of book pages from vintage flower / butterfly / insect / tree books I collected over the past few months.  So many of the graphics are great to cut out and use in your collage, mail art, or scrapbooks.

Vintage milk and juice caps are a favorite of mine, and this "Sun Filled" juice cap was the perfect addition to this sunny theme.

No Paper Pack is complete without a group of vintage playing cards, and this set was full of color and full of flowers.  If you participate in Project Life, I suggest slipping a playing card or two in your pockets to add some vintage charm to your upcoming pages.

Several customers mentioned to me this was their favorite month yet, and I have to agree.  But, each month is a challenge to put together a group of papers that is even better than the previous month - a challenge I'm happy to take on.  I think you guys are really going to love May!

shop update - office supplies.

This week's shop update was small, but mighty.  Only four new products made their way into the shop, but each is a labor of love with months of searching and collecting involved. 

My favorite addition was this Army Green Metal Box filled with a long list of vintage office supplies, including plenty of old airmail envelopes, Dennison labels, and a cool orange stapler.  This metal box remained in my personal collection for many years, but I finally ran out of space for it.  It's a heavy duty piece weighing in at over 6 pounds - a good piece for a vintage and/or industrial space.

Second runner up is this Gray Metal Box with a rainbow of vintage tins and boxes filled with coordinating vintage ephemera.  This is another vintage box that was once in my personal collection.  It is the perfect size to fill with papers, pencils, and embellishments and take on a trip so send out mail art or make a mini scrapbook while on the go.  The unusual size holds a lot, but is still thin enough to easily slip into a backpack or other carry on luggage.  And packed into all of the vintage tins and boxes is over 300 pieces of old paper - used and unused postage stamps, tickets, price tags, milk caps, and much more!

These two topped my favorites list, but the other two aren't too shabby either - a Blue Metal Box with a collection of red, white, and blue airmail finds, and a Creamy White Display Piece stacked with a set of vintage office supplies.

I'll be spending today gathering and cutting papers for May's Paper Parcel, but will be back tomorrow to reveal all of the goodies that were in last month's Paper Parcel.  All subscriptions are currently sold out, but subscriptions beginning with June go on sale next week on May 1st!

shop update - unused vintage stamps.

Another weekend gone by.  Another Sunday evening shop update gone live.  After several requests over the months, this update was devoted almost entirely to unused vintage postage stamps - stamps that are not only lovely to look at, but can also be used as valid postage on special letters, packages, and invitations.

The vintage stamps are coordinated by color to ensure a pretty envelope with little to no work on your end.  There are two sizes of sets available - small collections with 20 stamps and a large collection with 50 stamps.  And if you need some more supplies, I also added some new airmail envelope designs and what I like to think of as "The Ultimate Pen Pal Kit".  Happy Mailing!

Lots of good mail going out and coming in lately.  The common theme among them all - a really, really good mix of stamps!

I always keep a collection of new and vintage stamps nearby to mix and match.  Mixing the stamps works especially well when I'm sending a letter with some pictures or other goodies that requires a little extra postage beyond a single stamp.  Plus it's one of the easiest ways to fancy up your mail.

I stocked up on stamps earlier this week, including  a book of the newly released Songbird stamps.  These are some of my favorite stamps to be released lately and perfect for spring time mail.

Not only have I been sending out pretty stamps, I've been lucky enough to find plenty in my own mailbox.  Thanks so much, Kimberly and Anne!  Sending some mail back your way soon!
