Christmas Mixed Paper Journals are now available in the shop and ready to ship! There are a dozen journals available, and I will not be able to restock if the journals sell out because I'm out of the vintage BINGO cards used for the cover. Each journal is $24 and comes with a mini collection of vintage Dennison labels to get you started on personalizing your pages.

My goal when compiling any of my journals is to find the perfect mix of new, found, and vintage papers. I usually include a few pieces of patterned scrapbook paper, but never want to fill an entire journal with it. I strive for each journal to feel like a collection of papers carefully collected over time and from a variety of sources. This year's Christmas Mixed Paper Journals have vintage sheet music, metallic papers, textured cardstock, various tags / flashcards / playing cards, envelopes, office and ledger paper, and vintage book pages. Some of my favorites include red and green ledger paper that I've been hoarding all year just for these journals, pages from a 1930's German dictionary, and vintage office paper that lists the months of the year. Because I'm a numbers and graph geek, I put together a pie chart showing all of different types of papers included.

If you are more of a visual person, here is a glimpse at a handful of the pages. This is a thick journal - a total of 50 pages! If you are participating in December Daily you can open the binder rings to remove extra pages leaving just your favorite 25 and use the remainder to embellish. You could even turn the extra pages into a second scrapbook!

Since I was in a graph makin' mood, I also put together a chart with a breakdown of the colors of the pages. I had to be a little creative with this one. Some of the pages include more than one color so I just went with the dominant color. The kraft category includes the vintage book pages and sheet music and any others in a similar shade, not just strictly kraft cardstock. I think it's a good snapshot of the journal - lots of red and green, but balanced with plenty of neutrals to avoid Christmas overload! Also, green is my favorite color so it's no surprise I (unintentionally) favor it over red a bit!

Vintage Dennison labels have always been one of my favorite embellishments. It's so easy to glue one down and add some words or just a date. So when I was lucky enough to find a stash of these labels at an old stationery store this summer I knew I had to include a mini collection of 16 different labels. Plus you probably already know that I can't resist adding a few vintage flashcards or other goodies to each order, and it won't be any different with these journals. The Christmas Mixed Paper Journals will be packaged with a strip of red tickets and a handful of red and green playing cards to get your holiday season off to an awesome start.

My week of daily vintage Christmas updates will continue through the weekend! I added a Christmas section to the shop to make browsing a little easier. Stop by for Scrap Packs, Playing Card Collections, Collage Packs, and more - all in red and green, of course!
